I try to stay away from poo when bocking. Good thing you stayed out of it. It's one thing to be sqeeky, but it's a whole other thing to be sqeeky and stinky. Bad juju. PS, Darf, I feel you. That's why I build all my own computers. Then I only have myself to blame for issues.

about the broken springs.. typical "carbon" springt... dont usw carbon springs when you give a high pressuere on it...

what part is actually squeaking?

i'd say it's most probably the joint just below the footplate, or less likely the lower joint, not much else moves enough to squeek, and the top joint takes a lot of pressure, so tends to deteriorate and squeek more than the rest

...or at least thats what i think
