We all know that the plastic stock bindings on most models are prone to slipping and breaking, but what about the other kinds of bindings?  Snowboard bindings are better than stock, but does anyone have a clear idea as to which kinds of bindings are good for what?  I doubt that one kind is superior in all respects, but if there is one, it would be good to know.
Here's a list of all the different kinds of bindings that are out there (as far as I know):

Plastic ratchet

Snowboard ratchet

Magic Pixie Boot (How, exactly, does this one work?  Are there straps inside it or what?)

Fitted shoe

3 Velcro straps (Velocity Stilts)

If you have any mods that seem to work very well, feel free to talk about them too.

THe Yellow Magic Pixi Boot (lol at your naming) is a flexible  bit of plasic that has ONE strap (1.10) inside that goes around your back heel and on top of your Foot, and the rest of the boot gets Pulled around your feet/shoes with Shoe laces..

you can see the laces in this image of a Pre-Yellowified Boot

----

Snowboard Bindings of High quality is usually the thing people like to slap on.. and better there quality .. you get the idea. - you can get them with either Metal or plastic Rachets (metals are obviously Better)

..

other than that i dont know.

i like snowboard bindings of everything i've tried which is all but the pixie boot and fitted shoe

plastic stock straps are crap

metal snowboard straps and the velocity stilt straps have about the same hold, nice, tight, and comfortable, but the snowboard ratchets make putting them on a lot quicker, gotta tug and put the velcro to get it tight, but both are way better than stock.

i don't know about the pixie boot and fitted shoe

Cool, thanks for the info.  Seems like there's not a whole bunch of info on Powerskip bindings...  The picture was very informative, though.  Anyone have much to say about pixie boots or the fitted shoes?  I'm thinking that maybe there isn't a lot of difference in hold and comfort between most binding styles, but I think anyone who hasn't actually tried the Powerskip Pro's fitted shoe is rather curious as to how good they are, particularly in terms of comfort.  If anyone has experience with Powerskip bindings, I think there are a lot of us who would like to know how they do.  People will go on and on about most other parts, but foot bindings seem underdiscussed.

I use the Powerskip Pros and have Fitted my own shoes onto them.. the comfort for that is rather unique to the shoes you use ...

Oh.  I was under the impression that they came with some factory-made shoes permanently bolted on.  But being able to switch the shoes with ones you really like is really cool!

I presume that if you do switch a pair with the ones they come with, you have to drill a hole or three in the soles?

Oh.  That's two misconceptions cleared in less than half an hour.  Sounds like a really nice form of binding, too bad you gotta drill your shoes, though.
