Good luck to everyone doing this, 10 miles is a fair old way on bocks. Make sure you take plasters, as you will more than likely have blisters after walking that far. A fresh T-shirt is also a good thing to have after you have finished. Wet wipes wouldn't go amiss either. Don't waste too much energy at the beggining showing off, it's surprising how quickly you run out of energy on charity walks. At walk for life there were several people that peaked to early, and were completely knackered even before we got to the finish line. Pace yourselves and have fun, I wish I was able to do this.

10 miles it's that far !?
If you go faster than normal walking speed it's easier than walking. I'm not the best jumper around ( tell you the truth I'm still rubbish ) but I often do a 5 miles bock after work. It's a bit dark cold and wet this time of year but

Thank you Jelly. Smiley its very much appreciated as i believe this is a worthy cause for the communities efforts.

I will hopefully be on the mend by the time this takes place, but as yet im confined to very limited activities. Sad ... walking is a troublesome event and driving and long distance travel is a no no. so time will tell.

Yay, the more the merrier. To be truthful i dont think we will make the 10 miles but we will certainally give it a try... So what time does people want to get to Greenwich park for?? My mum lives right opposite the park so im easy. I thinking about the route, we could start off at the bottom end of Greenwich park and after pratting around for a bit, maybe make our way thru the Greenwich foot tunnel towards Canary Wharf, so we can bounce around the suits for a bit cos they all have got a lotta dosh. Im still figuring, where to go on from there. Suggestions always welcome. jelly x

Is this gonna be a sponsored bock or collecting money as we go kind of thing?

I dont see no reason why we cant do both, getting sponsers and then entertaining people on the street and collecting their kind donations. I am wanting to do a sponsered sky dive later in the year so i dont want to use all my source of sponsers all in one go. jelly x

lol, yeah thats what I was thinking would be best too, I'd say it would be best if we used something like justgiving to pool all donations into one place, saves the hassle of everyone collecting money off people Smiley

Just thought, it would probably be wise for someone to tell Macmillan about the plans before it is properly finalised Wink  There are all sorts of odd rules about fundraising.
