I realize that they are "Fly Jumper" brand, but which "name" are they given? Are they PoweriZers? Super Shoes? Actual Fly Jumpers or one of the other myriad of brands that are on the market these days.

You have just stated that they were produced in China. However, the patent holder has not authorized the sale of ANY of the Chinese brands. Technically it is illegal to sell these in the areas where the patent is held (including the USA, England and many other places on planet earth).

No, I am not stating that you are trying to rip anyone off. However, there is not one company in China that is authorized to make and sell these products. Fly Jumper (which is what most of these brands really are ... for example, PoweriZers are also Fly Jumpers as well) is NOT authorized to be resold. You may not have or be a business and you can purchase these items, but can you legally resell them? Especially when you are selling more than one and they are all brand new?

Also, I find it interesting that you only have three posts. All three are in this thread and so the first post on this forum is to try to sell three sets of brand-new Fly Jumpers. While I personally have no problem with you selling them or offering them here (and, being a nobody, it is really not my place to say anything about it Smiley ) I do find it a bit odd Smiley .

I realize that I have put you on the defensive. Sorry about that. But think about things from my side for a moment. You state you bought these for yourself and yet you bought them in a variety of weight classes. Why would anyone buy several sets for themselves at various weight classes (possibly to share with others who might not have them and want to go bocking with you)? Even if it is to share, it is a great expense to purchase several sets (at least four ... one for yourself and the other three that you are unloading). It does not seem that you intended to purchase these to have friends bock with you because you are offering them here to us as brand new (i.e. no one has ever put them on and bounced around on them).

Then you state that it is cheaper to purchase a few of them. I am assuming that you mean that the price per unit is less expensive. Well, this can be the case ... if you are purchasing a quantity of them (not four and certainly not less than 10). In most cases they want you to purchase at least 15 or more before they start dropping the price by any significant amount. Even if you did get a decent discount on purchasing a small number that would not make up for the fact that purchasing a few will still cost more than purchasing only the one (cost per unit AND shipping). For example, the Chinese manufacturers often sell these items for between $75 and $115 depending on the quantity you purchase ($75 being for a crate load of them). Even if you were able to purchase them at $75 a unit, two at $75 is MORE than one at $115 and then, on top of that, you have additional shipping cost for two units (as opposed to one).

Your statements don't seem to hold up to me. It seems you bulk ordered a few units in the hopes of reselling them along the way. There would be no other reason to purchase several units in various weight classes and then offer them here brand new. While you may not be a business, it does seem you intended to profit off of this. As such, you should indeed be concerned about the patent laws as they don't just apply to businesses. In fact, several people have tried to sell these brand new units on eBay only to have eBay remove them from the listings because of legality of selling them in countries covered by the patent. People selling USED sets are OK. People selling NEW and UNAUTHORIZED sets are not.

Dan i think you need to chill, while your points are valid, a warning was neccissary, but we've had like 3 threads going on about patent laws and i don't think we need another.

Cole I think your best bet would be selling them in person rather than online, I dunno if what your selling is perfectly legal, and from the sounds of it your not 100% sure, so i wouldn't be posting your contact info on here because the patent holder has read this forum before and has shut buisnesses down that are selling illegally, so if i were you i'd remove your contact info and sell them to your friends or people you meet when your out bocking, i'm sure you'll find more than a few customers especially if you let people try them.  I'm not supporting selling them illegally, but if you don't want to get in a heap to trouble just in case you find out that the company you bought from lied to you or something, and they have been know to do that on occasion

Hi Guys

Just thought I would clear up any confusion regarding Fly Jumpers. I work on the online store www.flyjumperstore.com we are UK sellers of Fly Jumpers. After lengthy negotiations with the German patent holders Alexander and Andrea of Alan Sportartikal we have a licence to sell this brand in the UK. We are the only authorised UK distributor of Fly Jumpers and have a licence from the patent holders.

Any further questions I would be only to pleased to help.
