Hey Everyone,

Lukey sent me a video of him on his first couple of times Powerising. I enjoyed it a lot, and you can now view it

What do you think?!

Awesome, Matt! This has great tips for beginners. Is that squeaking normal, by the way?

No, that squeeking is not normal.

Lukey, did you apply some oil to the hinges?

The other issue was the calf plate being too far back. I attached the ankle support of a set of snowboard bindings to calf plate. It's a good shape, and it is pushed up against my calf pretty well.

I think the squeaking is normal out of the box, but you should use some WD40, silicon, graphite on them to prevent that, it also loosens them up a little so you can bounce easier

Hi All,

Glad you're enjoying it.

I think the squeaking is normal out of the box, but you should use some WD40, silicon, graphite on them to prevent that, it also loosens them up a little so you can bounce easier

Oh yeah I WD40'd them shortly afterwards. You cant hear them on the grass (the next day) when I fall over.

The other issue was the calf plate being too far back. I attached the ankle support of a set of snowboard bindings to calf plate. It's a good shape, and it is pushed up against my calf pretty well.

See you saying that makes me think my legs should be positioned back on them. I.e. Calf to pad and knees strapped away from the foam at the front of the knee bar?

The calf plate is basically useless.  No one's calf touches it, so it serves no purpose.  Better would be a thicker, padded, calf plate that might add some support to the back of your lower leg.  But sometimes less is better.

Yeha, i wanted to remove it completely but it does look a bit rough so have left it on. My calf pad would need a good inch of foam at least to reach my leg.

Hey!

I really appreciate your remarks, thanks. I have another one rendering now from earlier today so yeah theres another on the way soon! Its just as uncut as the first!
I just hope people see them for what they are, going for the honesty appeal etc.

The knee pads were annoying but they're well easy now.

That might be because this thread was created in 2006.
