get the risers. uness your some kind of professional bocker in disguise, it won't make a diffrence until you start doing crazy flips and such.

The quality of risers are great and will not stud your opinoin of bocking.

So get risers, unless you got tons of spare cash lying around.

i still dont know whether or not to get powerisers advanced or 7's raptors. because i was just reading that other wondering thread and there are some pretty good debates on there

you've stated in previous posts that money is a concern in which one's you can afford, if that is true than 7's are out of the question, they cost about $540 plus shipping from canada, you can get PR advanced for 380+shipping from the US.  There is really no reason to buy PR classics anymore because they cost like 360, you can get advanced for $20-30 more and they're well worth it.  Check out west coast powerisers, they're a PR seller in oregon you  might be able to get a try out or pick up your pair in person to save shipping costs.

WCP is a bit overpriced though.  they cost $425 plus $30 shipping.  If you can pick them up then i guess they wont cost much more then

Bocking is perfectly safe if you make sure to use wrist, knee, and elbow pads plus a helmet.  If your parents are on the fence about the sport, tell them that falls are uncommon and that you will wear the pads every time.  If you are wearing the pads, the sport is safer than biking or rollerblading... it's generally a lower speed activity.

If you don't already have protective gear, be sure to budget for it.  The Poweriser pads are $35/set and a helmet will run you about $25.
