@ Karen:
Yes, the Powerizer pair on eBay is a good buy. The only problem is that you don't know what colour they are and the owner, who won them in some kind of competition, will not break the yellow seals to look in the box. If they are blue, they are a bargain at anything up to

@Cantallian

Well said.

@ Spud

You should understand that we are here to obtain new information, to find out how is the market evolving, trying to find out what are our customers needs and also we want to provide some help if we can. Of course that we push our products, but it is because we believe in them.  I have no bad experience with my distributing brand so I think, I have the right to tell that to everyone.

For example
If you buy a great car and you will have no problems with the car whatsoever, you will also tell everyone that it is a best product you came across.

I think the colour isn't a problem - my grandson wears shocking pink tee-shirts so I'm sure he wouldn't worry about a pair of red stilts!!!   When you look at the other pics on the ebay page, it does indicate that they're red ones

Not really. That picture is on all FL manufactured Junior stilts boxes. What is amusing is that it also appears on PowerStrider and FlyJumper boxes with the end of the box showing small pictures of blue and red stilts, the idea being that an identification sticker is placed beside the actual colour found in the box. And yet, for quite some time now, these two brands have only been available in black.  Cheesy

If he is happy with a red pair then you should roll the dice and see what you get. There is one other thing against a red pair, which may or may not bother you, and that's their second hand value when it comes to resale time. The blue version sells easily and fetches good money (about

Oh I see.  Thank you. I've spoken to my hubby and he agrees that we should give it a go!
I've had an email back from the company saying that they will arrange collection on Monday  but I've said I want my money back first!

Yes it was me!!

powerizer.com have emailed me offering to collect and refund in full or i can have a pair of powerizer/powerstriders for an extra 30 euros.  i told him he could do a straight swap as a gesture of goodwill or i wanted a full refund which he says he will do when the driver has collected the skyrunners.....

either way, i've got a decent pair now and my grandson will be safe - if they decide to swap and they're the right ones that he sends, i'll be able to sell the eBay ones to my friend for her daughter! If not, well I've got another pair at a much better price and I can collect them as we're on holiday in London next week so no p&p costs!

Good times .... i hope anyway ... will let you all know what the company says about swapping and if they do, whether they send the proper ones.

Thanks to everyone for their help and support

Sorry if this appears harsh but I'm starting to get really annoyed with bocking and bockers recently. People ask for help, then ignore the answers.

To me, this thread is full of EPIC FAIL. I stated that I have never seen anyone purchase from OriginalPowerizer, and hoped to push you in the direction of a trusted seller, specifically ProJump. I also explicitly stated their images on their site were confusing and that I was unsure of what they were selling. Still you chose the cheapest option and came out with a bad result. At no point did I confirm you would get what you ordered, yet you still ordered and then came here and moaned about it. I say to anyone looking to buy stilts: PLEASE ORDER FROM A REPUTABLE RETAILER. IT'LL SAVE YOU A LOT OF HASSLE.

This is what I told Karen before:
Quote
FlyingLocust and ProJump are one and the same, they come off the same production line at the same factory, so they will be fine. ProJump won't have any stock for at least another 4 weeks due to shipping delays... Personally, I would wait 4 weeks and order from ProJump as they are by far the best company sales and customer-care wise, but of course you don't really have that option Undecided

I've never looked at Original PoweriZer before, not sure they would be your best choice as they're dealing in Euros so may not even be able to ship to the UK. Always worth contacting them and asking though...
I'm not entirely sure what they're selling either, as they are saying they are selling FlyingLocust/PoweriZer/PowerStriders, yet have stock photos of PoweriSers. I'm also unsure as to why their Junior PoweriZers are more than their FlyingLocust either, as they're the same stilts!

http://www.streetgadgets.com/PoweriZers+-+Childrens.htm
You can definately order from Streetgadgets, they're a bit more expensive though.

You can always try the originalpowerizer site, but I've never heard or seen of anyone buying from them before. I hope that kind of vaguely answers your question, I don't want to start suggesting things like 7Leagues or PoweriSer as then you're looking at prices closer to

Yes Sprog I agree you did say that to me .... however, I also told you that i needed the bocks by tomorrow for a birthday gift for a 7 to be 8 year old - how do you explain that you haven't got them?  The streetgadgets website was also out of stock and would be for at least 4 weeks.  You can't keep an 8 year old waiting that long I'm afraid, especially one with dyslexia.

Projumps were going to be out of stock for a minimum of 4 weeks too.

I took on board everything you said, and others.  I contacted the company and they seemed genuine.  How does anyone know if a company is genuine until they've tried them or had reports about them?  I was prepared to take the chance and I hold my hands up - it was a horrible mistake because I genuinely thought I was getting some Flying Locusts - which is what I purchased, then when the box appeared it was skyrunners.

No I didn't come on here to moan, i came for advice as to my next option. And I have had some good advice since and followed it.  You in your own post also said ' you don't really have that option!' and later in the post you also said ' you can always try the original poweriser site, but I've never heard or seen of anyone buying from them before.' ...... so kettle, pot and black springs to mind.

@ Trip

Had I known about that before I went of eBay yesterday, I would've considered it but have now bought from there.  Wouldn't have had to pay p&p either since I have family holidaying in the area next week!!!!  Oh well, you live and learn.  lol  Grin

Just a thought Karen...
The Thero deal is so good, and the product itself is streets ahead in terms of bushes and springs, that it may be worth considering putting the Powerizers you bought up for sale and taking Trip up on his offer. So long as those Powerizers are still new and boxed you should be able to sell them easily.

Yeah ... just spoken to hubby about it and he agrees, so I've pm'ed Trip.  Just hope he gets back to me before I go on holiday in the morning!
Have emailed original powerisers.com again and told them I don't want to swap any more, just to collect the skyrunners and give me a refund which he has offered once the driver has collected them.  We'll see!

Thanks again to everyone for their help.
