Seriously though, anyone who gets Bocks really MUST LEARN to get up UNAIDED before venturing out into the public. It looks great when you do it instead of you scuffing along on your knees looking for a bench or bin to pull yourself up from.

If you dont get it the first time - KEEP TRYING! And DO IT until you can!

Thats easier said than done lukey, for me it was anyway.
I must have spend hours trying to get this right, different weight shift, different body position and posture.
Like anything else in this sport, you just have to keep at it until it clicks and for this particular example, it took me dead on 6 months.

I think Locky's right for some people this is a very hard trick to learn. You must however put this at the top of your list of tricks to learn

nope, I'm a 5'8 short arse.

I think it has more to do with my legs not being very flexible and I guess over time from bocking etc they have improved.

Yeh that might be it, I know my friend Jon found it really easy to get up, and he is super flexible.
