Your gonna die !
A group of people did a 10km and nearly died (slight exageration) but you are gonna stuggle to do this in my opinion.

How long are you thinking this will take you and have you done any training yet to get used to walking long distances.

so you're saying your gonna cover 5600 miles in 44 days, you know that's walking 125 miles per day right? some how that just doesn't seem physically possible.  I think this crazy journey is possible, but not on that times scale, and if i'm free i'll be waiting for you in NYC.

As XS said, 125 miles a day is a hell of alot of mileage. Taken into account your also gonna be carrying your essentials, i would say you have got an incredibly hard task ahead of you.

This said anything is possible, and your going for a world record not a stroll in the park so its gonna be difficult. Best of luck to you mate, wish i could be there to see you reach the end

well125 miles...thats 8.33 recurring miles an hour for 15 hours a day...that doesnt sound too hard.. but this means probably jogging, and stops for resting your feet...i recon you will do it in about 50 days

I'd say quite a bit longer than that.  I'd put a one-way trip up around the 40 day range.  I don't think a person on bocks would ever average that speed over that amount of geography and in that time.  Every day isn't going to be a nice sunny day.  There will be days with torrential rain and strong winds.  There will also be long stretches of uphill bocking that will totally drain you.  Add to that the fact that your equipment may not be able to handle it and break in the middle of nowhere.  (I assume you won't be jumping much - but still..)

I would suggest a support car/van with supplies follow you, or at least meet up with you every few days.  Or arrange for people (resident bockers?) to meet you in various towns along the way for support.

I know you can do it and wish you luck.  I just think it is going to take longer than you think.  I'll be in NYC to greet you and buy you a beer.
