Another tutorial for everyone having trouble doing so.

Appreciate it if you could check out the tutorial on my site.

If not here is the YouTube vid:

As always comments greatly appreciated no matter what they are.

Otherwise I will start charging for my tutorials! Haha just kidding, I love doing them so they will always be free!

Good tutorial, and thorough as always. However, it seems to me that at this point, everyone should be able to get up when they fall. Really, it should be the first thing you learn! I guess there are a lot of new users these days who are just learning, but come on people!

The best way to do it is to not fall in the first place!  Wink Bock on!

However, it seems to me that at this point, everyone should be able to get up when they fall.

everyone who's had them as long as you have  yeah, that's a reasonable expectation, but for new people this is great.

This is a slightly different technique than the other demos of how to do stand up on here, i do it my pushing with my back foot, which is easy for me because my toe sticks off the front of the foot plate, but for people with smaller feet it might be more difficult.  Good to see and alternate method, but it looks like yours takes more force to push yourself straight up.

very nice explaining.  standing up should be one of the first things people learn, yet there is a huge lack of tutorials for it...

Nice tutorial, the only thing I can think of to make it better is making the font slightly larger and black. If you put it down low on that expanse of grey tarmac it will show up a treat. Nice work Ian, keep em coming

I will see what it looks like in black, but where I am using Windows Movie Maker I am not sure how to move it much from where it already is!

Hey Urbantricker. Hows about you teach me how to get up at CinN, because, as Sx Nutta will tell you, something is not right. I get 'stuck'

i know its not the right place to put this but is that Z a (tm) trademark of Zürich?
Indeed it is. Quick scan of the Zurich site reveals:

blah blah blah. Yeah I know about all this. It is staying like it is until either I get round to getting their permission or I get round to changing the colour. I will be doing a lot of kissing arse but I am hoping to blag it. So let mention nothing else on it.

Awesome. I will show you what happens, I am pretty sure its not to do with my muscle tone, but more to do with some kind of position I am getting myself in.
