Hey everyone!

Now videos will be stored in this board on the forums.

This means everyone can add videos, and discussion of them is easier.

If you want to add a video, start a new topic in this board. At the top of your topic post the video you are adding, and then write some commentary.

It has now been made easy to add youtube videos:

Go to the youtube page, and copy it's location:
e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkh5opBp6K4

Then delete "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" from the start of the url, leaving a code like:
Pkh5opBp6K4

Then type in your post:
Code:
[youtube=425,350]Pkh5opBp6K4[/youtube]

This can be done by clicking this button:


also, this button:


allows you to add any flash movies.

Otherwise, you may just create a link to your film on the internet.

Email me with the video as an attachment if it is on your computer, then I will upload it to the PoweriserPages youtube account, and add it here.

Update: If you post a youtube video in your new topic here, a thumbnail of it will appear in the Video section, and also in the Most recent Video bar on the left column.

Other update: Now 30 bock-credits are awarded to any member who has posted their own video of themselves powerbocking. So if you have posted a video, wait for me to notice, and I will process the bock-credits for you.

Posted a video and the instructions worked fine but i can't play it in Firefox (1.7.12) the image is there but clicking on it doesn't do anything,, it works fine in IE6, any idea why?

A lot of coding on forums is designed for IE and not firefox, usually the CC and PHBB Coding. For some reason a lot of it isn't supported in Firefox, hopefullt they'll get around to it on FF2

If you go to the firefox plugins page, browse through it and you should find a plugin that allows IE tabs in firefox. Install that and you'll be able to switch (within firefox) to an IE tabbed format.
Whether you need IE installed for this i'm unsure of...

I would provide a link, but searching for "firefox" and "plugins" is blocked on my school computers

I believe I have now resolved the issue, so that the youtube code works for all browsers. Could someone with Firefox 1.x please check this out?

It's a good idea to upgrade two ff2. The spell function + Dictionary switcher addon, is one of the best things I've ever seen in a webbrowser;)

Good to hear it's fixed for 1.5.
Firefox 2 is OK, and it seemed everything was compatible when I upgraded- shame your theme isn't! Quite like the suggested search terms in FF2.
Won't make you upgrade!- but I will say that I put off upgrading and when I did it was easier than I thought.
