Id want 2-400 hours bocking life in my hooves.  But is very dependent on the surface 1 bocks. The basin at Cardif and much of the pavement in Hyde Park if basically gravel set in concrete. Very grippy/non slip feels very positive and nice to use ---but is Very abrasive. Whilst grass much much less so but not so positive on the bounce and slippier.

I totally agree that the surface you bock on will have a hug effect on the wear of your hoofs.

If you bock on marble or wooden decking like there is in cardiff the wear will be a lot less than if you bock on solid gravel or tarmac roads.

200-400 hours d'oh.  If you are just bocking in the 'free' outdoors and dont travel then Id say bocking should cost around 50p an hour up to the '1st' serious maintnance --typically hooves.

PJ hooves are I think £24 7's £32. If I was jogging I reccon Id spend more on running shoes

hehe stop tempting me to tax you on bocking, but i reckon 7's feet would last longer than 64 hours, seeing as a typical pair of tiresocks now lasts about 10-20 hours for me...they work out vaguely that much, but meh

I think I said 50p an hour BEFORE spending money. And that cost would be 324-32 on hooves depending on model

I have seen the bocks where people have put toddler shoes on them, what does this help with besides making them cute lol? Are they stronger than tyre socks? Do they have good grip, and are they easy to put on?

Good grip, lasted pretty well, but they wear from the inside out, the hoof slowly breaks down the material of the shoes until they are flapping around.

most things will wear from the inside out though, most tiresocks do, think the only way to stop that would be to glue rubber onto the hoof, that shouldn't wear through from inside, but thats kinda harder to do than shove a pair of trainers on, or a tire with some hoseclamps

How much money generally would a pair of hoof-sized toddler shoes cost? I dont care if you post using Euros or USD. I think I might do that because it seems to look the best.

umm well a quick google yeilded that, no idea if they're any good, but shoes don't really cost much these days, ask Q for what size fits bocks, was something like baby size 10's or something, but not sure

I'll probably just take my bocks into the shoe store and try em' on. Also, should I put the shoes on after my hoofs wear down or soon after I get them? I would think that waiting until they wear down would make sharp edges and make the shoes get ruined faster, but I need some advice on this as I get my bocks next Tuesday.
