oh maybe i was a tad unclear, worth it in the way it should solve the problem, and then you'd have decent hooves aswell, kinda kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak, meh all depends on personal preference really

Mine aren't lasting nearly that long. I went a day without socks and the partially flattened hoof that had a crack in it to the metal opened up to tons of cracks. I bet it will last one more day without a sock.

Mine lasted six months of intermittent but heavy abuse.  I killed them climbing up a mountain.

yeah just rest for a bit, not many people use their core muscles or whatever much, then you start bocking and you're basically using them like 10 times as much as before, so they ache like hell for a bit, just take it easy, but if they haven't stopped aching and hurting after a few weeks of not bocking then you shpuld probably see the doctor, painkillers will help aswell

LOL! I'm pretty sure that should you get pain killers, you may not want to mix those with bocking. PS, yesterday was day 2, and today, I know what it's like to be cooked spaghetti.

well by painkillers i usually mean ibuprofen or something similar, as thats what most doctors prescribe first anyway, so thats fine...lol cooked spaghetti, never heard that comparison before, i'll add it to my mental list of things to feel like Cheesy

Getting back to the bent frame issue for a moment...

The real tricky part - once the frame is bent inward like that - is straightening it out.  The steel bushing halves have such a tight fit through the frame hole that any improper bend back to straight is going to cause the hole to warp ever so slightly and prevent the bushing halves from fitting through the holes again.  Trust me...  I nearly screwed mine up by trying to bend it back by using some pliers.  My advice for bending the frame back would be to sandwich one of the bent frame sides between two lengths of wood and squeeze it back into shape in a nice big table vice so that it is uniform and flat again.  Haven't tried the vice method myself yet, but I think it will work.
