if you mean the joint where the spring goes into the hoof part, the bolt should be tightened as much as possible without shearing it off, and it shouldn't move left-right as there should be washers basically everywhere on that joint.

...if you mean the spring moves forward and backwards, just pad the joint, probably lost your plastic T thingie like evryone else

Have the Advanced (07/08) PoweriSer model? Or do you have this black spacer thing that goes between the spring and bolt? Because if you do that's normal. If it's an old style bushing, check the bolt. You can see the old and new here:

hmm, oh and check the washers, should be ones both sides of the outer metal part, and then the bearings/bushings inside that

...think it's bushings for you

Mine have been like that for months of intermittent but heavy abuse.  It's not pretty or comforting, but it's pretty harmless.

ah, jiggling when you kick feet, sounds like it's forwards/backwards movement then, which is usually the bottom joint not having enough/any padding, just tape some card into the gap between the spring and the plastic bolt cover thingie there and see if it works

I was getting a click as I stepped with one of my '08 model bushings.  I finally figured out it was a tiny gap under the black plastic bushing cradle.  It wasn't sitting tight up against the frame -- so I just added a small piece of plastic under it and it is now quiet.

the hoof arm where it connects to the othher piece of metal is bent/bending on both of them to the same side.......the washer on the outside is shearing into the hoof arm....if you look close enough you can see metal shavings.............thats where the click noise is coming from cuz i can grab the hoof arm and the binding and you can feel it move just a little but its bugging me........

way too many pictures of the same thing

but the only way to fix it permanently is to put a spacer inside the hoof to hold the bars straight.  look at a picture of 7's hooves, they've got a bar welded across the top, I made a spacer out of 1/2" copper pipe it fits over the bearing assembly and holds it apart.

i reckon not worth it when a suitable spacer can be made for like $2 and 10mins of work
