The dock which jono has jumped off is 7ft I beleive. I know we measured it with a tape a while ago. It might even be more, I'll check with some of the others.

In saying that, there are some people who do not see any fear in this sort of jump and I am sure there are people who have jumped off much higher.

IMO sand doesn't count because it absorbs some of the ground impact.  If you allow beach sand, then how about a pile of soft snow, etc.?  Don't get me wrong... that Manni's height fall onto sand is crazy impressive -- but if you're talking about record setting feats, I think you have to either stick to hard ground or have different categories.

Don't forget this jump onto hard ground by Hemoves.

Regardless of records, that's still impressive. I have a hard enough time getting over my fear of jumping down 3ft ( which is silly, since I jump higher on ground).

yes but if you know how to compress your springs a lot, or they're too stiff for you and you drop a long distance, there's only so much energy the springs can take before your legs take it, and if you land badly it hurts like hell, and if you land slightly off balance all that energy fromt eh fall can go into throwing your legs int he air and making you land on your spine, so gotta be a tad careful jumping off stuff

my highests about 4-5 feet at a skatepark, hurt as i hadn't learned how to compress my Ts then and landed funny

Isaac, its also the fact that when you jump off something high it compresses the spring and sends you shooting back up.
If your not ready for this or land with a bad angle you will go flying off in a random direction and probably end up in a pile on the floor.

But on the other side its a lot about confidence, some people have no fear of death (ie yourself) and therefore will just go for it. Other people have more common sense and will work there way upto it or just not jump if they don't feel comfortable.

I want to see you jump off something about 12ft then, if its so easy  Tongue
