Hi to all,

first of All, I am a very tall man : 6''6 and I intend on becoming a superman powerbocker very soon.

After reading a little in this forum, I think I have settled my mind on a pair of poweriSers, the original. I weight 185 lbs/83 kg And I noticed in the super magical thread for 1st time buyers that the best bounce weight between a pair of 7090 and 90120 is at exactly 80kg! Im kind of stuck between the 2 here.

I also hear that the poweriSers are stiffer than other brands, does that mean I should go with 7090. Then again I also hear They will get softer as I use them.

Thanks for giving me your opinion on what I should get, and telling me if my height has anything to do with my choice.

What has influenced you to choose poweriSer originals?

Personally if your not getting the PoweriSer 2008 model then I would go for projumps instead of powerisers but thats because i dislike the poweriser spring when i tried it up in Cardiff.

If you have an extra bit of money it might be worth looking into getting 7leagueboots which start at 240 pounds

And as Q said where abouts are you from, there may be some people or a group local to you

Hey WhiteBen,

We are the same weight, but as i am only 5'11" i guess i am a little overweight. Wink

I went with the 2008 pr90120's, and after 20 odd hours of bocking, i am still happy with my choice.
Pic 3 below shows roughly how much compression these are giving at the moment, and i am led to believe that as my technique improves and the springs soften, i could find myself bottoming out. It has not happened yet, but i was surprised to see just how close it looks already.

Whatever you decide upon, i am sure you will have fun.

Bmthbloke,

The spot is Titchfield Park in Mansfield, just behind the Water Meadows swimming baths.
There are more pix in this thread, post #84
http://www.PoweriserPages.com/forum/day_2_using_powerisers-t4492.75.html Wink

I am guessing that the last bit of travel that the springs have left before bottoming out, will be more tensioned than the mid section, and therefore even though it looks close, that last bit left before bottoming out, should hold out a while?

Based on my recent experience, i think the pr90120's would be best suited to White Ben?

90120's are the way to go,  If you're on the border and not sure, go up.

Thanks alot for the great feedback guys,

I am from Canada so im thinking of buying from US for now and my budget is around 350 usd.

Any one else thinks the Flying Locusts springs are better than the original Powerisers?

Think you can use other brand springs in different manufacturers Bocks.

Thus, something to consider... I have SkyRunners.  They work just fine.  My springs are to heavy for me though.  They are for 198lb person (90kg) and I only weight 150lb.

There is a Dealer here in South TX now.  If you want order a pair from him and have them shipped to me here in North TX.  I'll swap out the springs to heavy ones for you and then ship then on to you up North in Canada.

I can pitch in some funds for the swap and save you a few dimes.

Yep, all springs/parts/frames/bindings are interchangable apart from upwings.
People I know are on Skips with Pro-Jump Springs, 7's with poweriser parts, poweriZers with poweriser parts, complete mish-mash bocks.

7's bearings are a little bit bigger than pro-jumps bearings and don't fit their frames !
