Hi,

I have always wanted a pair of these, but never dropped the cash on them.

However I see a listing on craigslist and the user says on the phone they are in great condition, used no more than 2 hours.

He tells me they have yellow springs, some blue somewhere on them, and pivoting pads.

He is selling them for $200 and says they are 1 year old maybe. $400 or so new he says.

They do not have cuffs.

What brand or model does this sound like, and is this a good deal?

Also when I check em out tonight what should I look for on them if anything was wrong with them.

Thank you in advance.

They are blue with yellow springs and pivoting footplate?
Sounds like old style skyrunners to me... Ask for a photo?

I would say check the springs for damage, see how worn the hoofs are, and also check the overall state of them, look for scratches, dents, if the kneebars have foam missing, those kinds of things.

Thanks for the input.

He did say they were aluminum colored with maybe a little blue. So those could be it.

He is in the States, I just read that all you can get here is the powerisers.

Is that true?

Chris

You can get 7Leagues sent by the manufacturer's of 7's but it'll cost you an arm and a leg. You can also get a powerskips and velocity motion stilts but again they're expensive.
If you order from getjumpingstilts.com you can also buy poweriZer/PowerStriders, which are cheaper but not quite as good quality as poweriSer.

Actually, it appears that GetJumpingStilts.com is now only selling PoweriSer and PowerSkip models.

Oooooh... hmm that's interesting. No sign of poweriZer/PowerStrider in the US at all anymore then?

Wonder if that means we'll see a phasing out in the UK too... *Ponders the ideal perfect bocking world*

Well i have picked up my first pair of bocks. the used ones on craigs list I mentioned earlier.

They appear to be Pro jumps maybe 6th edition. (could discern this through the pad desription given somewhere on this site.)

Is this possible here in the USA or are they PoweriZers. The pads say jumper units on them.

They have black nylon straps with lil people on them.

The foot pad is blue (only plastic is at the front part of the foot). The rest is aluminum 2" wide back to the back of the foot. It pivots forward and back.

They were brand new it seriously looks as though he used them a couple of tries.

I paid $180 Us Dollars.

What if any problems should I Watch For with this model?

Chris

Last question on this.

How do I tell the spring Weight size?

I can see a number 901 printed on the visible end of the Spring is this 90 KG?

no there are still Flying Jumper(formerly PoweriZer) dealers, its just that XPhub, the PoweriSer Importer won't let sites sell both PoweriSer and Flying Jumper, but they can sell skips too.  Air Trekkers also exist in the US which are another Flying Locust brand.

If the frames are anodized blue like this

then they are sky runners and they should be avoided.

if they just have blue straps or something, and pivoting foot plates, then i'd bet they are PoweriZer Pro's, which i wouldn't go for.

For about $100 more you can get new Poweriser classics with a full warranty, its a better buy IMO.

i don't really trust the numbers on the bottom of the spring to mean anything, if the seller doesn't know, then i wouldn't go for it.
