well I'll probably get in town about about 11 and have a look at these places and if there no one around for me to bock with round Dorchester by 12 ish i might get all the mattress's out i can find (i think that 4) and practice the back flip (and maybe some fronts too)
But I don't think I'll be able to get a gym meet that afternoon think thats a bit short notice.
but if i do get us a gym I'll try and book one for the week after the Bournemouth meet.

Then we can have one every week and hopefully attract people from yeovil and places that way. (thats the plan) Grin

cool  yep there is the guy taunton way for a start. Just to keep options open ( cos there are many permutations) Why not ask about availability sat evenings ( may be a nono if rich cant get down in time now he working). Its just I remember him saying the trains are alot better on sat than sun. Might even try a lil night bockin after.

Un it would be 1 way of stopping Colin gettin a hang over Shocked)

OOO just to complicate things a lil more --my 1 true skill Grin. Been chattingt with a guy on pjf  a student in soton --he has narrowed a search for a gym their too. This should help peeps to the east ( tho at a cost of no1 wanting to come to bournemouth doh hehe). But he snowed under with work ( yeah yeah) so this may not happen too quick

Its gonna be mainly quite a lot on saturday and Sunday on the run up to xmas, but after that it will reduce and become much more flexible. But i might be able to make the odd gym session (university open day if work wants to know) through the next couple of months.

OK just got back from my gym search.

Dorchester YMCA:-
well I'm not happy with their facility's as I don't think it will benefit us as its a bit small and i don't think their roof huts will be big enough.
plus they wasn't the most helpful people so ....bleah Undecided. . . I moved on.

St Osmunds Community Sports Centre:-
Very nice, great space, very smart, and think it would be good for use as they have crash mats and the works as they used to have free runners there. (had to explain what powerisers were but hey lol)
but only problems are prices.
half a sports hall £16 (group is 50% students £11)
1 court £7.35 (group is 50% students £4.40)
also bad part is their insurance wouldn't cover us and we will have to get some kind of personal insurance (or group if there is one)

Thomas Hardye Leisure Centre:-
personally this might be the best place but I got to talk or phone the manager and have a little natter.
I didn't get to see the sports hall but I think it should be fine as its a school sports hall. and it looks a modern place.
The guy I talked to didn't say anything about insurance so I might be ok and he seemed happy enough for us to use it at the weekend but he couldn't comferm anything as they never has powerisers in before (thats why i have to talk to the top bod)
prices :-
badminton court £7.50 (concession £4.50)

so thats basically what I found out. (let me know jj's if we should look into insurance for st osmund's or i should forget about that)
But I'll get in contact with the manager of Thomas Hardye's beginning of next week and let you all know what she say's (hopefully I'll be able to persuade her  Wink)

That 1st place that ive comeacross that has mentioned insurance.  I believe Locky has done some research on insurance, plus ash already has it but thru equity we prob wouldnt get it there. Id leave for mo ---Ash will read and fill us in a bit on that.

So hang on for option 3 Id say

I would suggest I book the bmth gym for next week. But It doesnt seem to be used Sundays so I think that can be left a few days  as an option.

I would say book up the Bournemouth gym and I'll look into the 3rd place some more and if they say yes thats fine I put up final costs and stuff and if every1's happy I'll book it for the week after the Bournemouth one.
