As I have been attempting to learn flips since easter, ive managed to collect a fair amount of damage from miss-landing them every time!

Sunday I landed one flip on my bum, as usual, but also with my bocks together, which caused a split in the spring and a nice scratch in the metal. There was already scratches in the spring (and small cracks) from previous flip attempts, but this made it much worse!

At the moment they still seem to be working, but think im gonna have to buy a new pair sooner than i was hoping to!!!

That doesn't look good at all! I mean, what have you done to your fantastic tape Becky?! Shocked

Personally I would not bock with a spring like that, I just wouldn't trust it not to snap further... I'd buy a new pair immediately if it was me!

I have redone the tape so it is all pretty, and shiney and new!
It had cracks in it from the last time i attempted flips, till it breaks ill just put up with it - or if i land a flip then im getting new ones! (my incentive to land them)

a crash mat - it wasnt the landing surface that did it, it was when i hit the mat i put the metal of one bock into the spring on the other.

so to learn from this people training flips should put some foam on the backs of the metal part of their hooves.

The scratching doesn't matter. You expect that on a sport like this, it's the same with skis. But those springs do look pretty bad Tongue

It was my own fault!! I banged the spring together when I was learning flips.
