I don't mind LOL, but please no ROFLMAO  Smiley

I asked my friend to take some video of me walking so I could get feedback, but I discovered she didn't quite have the hang of the camera...

Of course, shortly after that was taken, almost back home, I fell Sad  The wrist guard caught the brunt, but I skinned the edge of my hand a bit... gloves are next on the list!

Ha, like the cane. You look prepared to go on a hike. Grin Wink
But really, its a good precaution if you fall. Smiley

Nice first steps, were you walking right away?

looks really good keep it up, you've got the bounding down, you can transition that into faster running, you've already got picking your feet up really well

Thanks guys,  when I looked at the first part of the video, I thought I looked like a complete ass Smiley

Yeah, I was able to start walking right away but was hesitant since I couldn't find my knee pads last night - and I just HAD to try them out!

Well I'm no expert, but from a newbie's perspective you weren't flapping your arms wildly and wobbling your upper body all around like looking at other newbies' videos, so it looks like your energy is going into the springs and not wasted. It looks like you're a good natural balancer.

I'd say your form looks pretty good... All I could think about was what happens when you impale yourself on that staff! Just remember to keep your body up, not bend over, and you'll do great.

Put your weight on your heels, not your toes.  You'll find it's easier to balance when your shins are more-or-less vertical for most of your stride.

Gotta say with the pole   i thought it was  like a tribal dance with a spear. For the early bit  with nature sounds and rather echoy hoof sounds ---put me in mind of a low budget horror flick. Somat bad in next shot

The stick in many ways counter productive --makes you think of falling. The bocks are just like walking, running, jumping ---just more so. learn not to think about them and relax . Stand straight and as was said bounce thru heals.

And keep going, its real tuff learning alone ( so try and find the others in Ga -cos they want company too --honest)

Hey there!

I'm from Huntsville, AL. I'm getting my bocks soon, so I guess that means I'm joining an extreme minority with you, being in the South Eastern USA. You look like you are doing really well from what I gather in the video. Keep it up, Joey.
