On November 11, I made my first mods to my PoweriZers.

I still need to tape up various nuts and bolts. I also need to get new ny-lock nuts to replace the ones I removed when putting the inner tube over the spring.

Very nice, the little details like adding the horizontal strips at either end make it look very professional Smiley

Dude, that is solid. I'm thinking about doing the same. Did you do one continuous piece of yellow tape of break it and continue occassionally?

I did the base colour for about three layers and then the contrasting stripe

Incidentally, Zlosk, are you left-handed???

sctrojnvirus - It was two continuous pieces of 3/4" (19 mm) wide yellow tape. I was aiming to have the stripes at a 45 degree angle, so I eyeballed the angle with one stripe. Then I laid a second stripe between the first spiral. I just lucked out that it seems to be rather even.

Smurf - I am right handed. I wanted the stripes to look like "CAUTION" stripes. As far as I've seen, they are angled in the direction of a forward slash, as opposed to a backslash.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Too bad the springs are already in need of re-taping. Sad  I walked a mile in them today, and I evidently like to kick my right leg/stilt into the left spring.

You will always have to retape it if you don't protect it somehow. But It looks like you put some work into it:)

Yeah it's a good idea to take tape with you when you go out on your bocks - that way you can do any repairs that need to be done without going home
