You can easily make a protective pad for your tailbone by taping together a few short lengths of pipe insulation foam and shoving the pad down the back of your pants before bocking.

It will save you a world of hurt if you fall backwards.

well i dont have my risers yet but ive been tying flip on my trampoline, i can don a front and back fip but not perfectly.

i land on my ass doing the front flip

i land on my knees doing a back flip

oh yeah and my last attempt at a back flip sent me careering through my neahbours fence. wasnt that bad although i had 2 pay £12 on a new panel for the fence. hehe  Grin

the best way to fall forward is to put ur 4 arme out and make you roll instead of just falling straight wich will not take up shock and youl hurt urself so if u roll then all the shock will be taken up

Yeah, but if you stick your arm out, your entire weight will fall on it and you may end up dislocating your shoudler. I've seen it done when I used to do Judo, the bedt thing to do is use your arms to roll without actually falling on it, i.e. twisting in midair to land on your side and roll. However, it's pretty difficult!

fortunelty ive never fallen for real but ive tried it out so i could figure out how to do it with the least pain i find falling to my side and doing a little rolling is the best way to go. falling backwards isnt a great idea without tail bone protection and while falling forward the back of the shin support kept cutting and pinching me so i say sideways is the way to go

True if your elbow is at a right angle to the ground when it hit is hurts ! Twisting fine if you've got room if not stick your arms forward ( a bit like superman ) and land on elbow and wrist, may hurt but it's better than a broken nose !
Same elbow idea for side and backwards falls !
Use the palms and quickly bend elbow when you hit the ground
A bent back means you MAY spread the impact landing straight on the bum is a bad idea has you can fracture your sacral or coccyx !?
These lowest segment of the vertebral column. The sacral vertebrae are normally found fused together to form the sacrum.

thnk he means that kneepads help a lot to take away the pain.

i find that if i use my wrisguards to take the punishment and soft parts, like my hip, which i just grazed trying out the new springs, things don't tend to be too bad
