Ok, so if you read my previous post you know that i fell over on my bocks and mashed up my fingers. I went to the hospital and they took an x-ray and told me that it was only severely bruised and i should stay out of action for about 5 days.

Idiots! Angry They rang back today and told me i have a double buckle fracture in 2 fingers. For those that dont know what that is like me, the description i was given was... Imagine when you try and snap a live tree branch, it doesn't snap, and when u bend it back there is a buckle along the branch. I have that in two fingers and they say i should not do anything for 3 weeks minimum, wah. The boredom is worse than the pain lol. Tongue

That's a bad idea !? Bash them again and you could end up with bent fingers for life !

yeah you could, but just be careful and it'll be fine.

...but then again all my life my attitude to injuries has been strap it up and take painkillers, if it still hurts in a couple of weeks then go to the doctor, as long as nothings obviously bent out of proportion that is.

...all the doctors have ever said to me for sprains and swelling is take ibuprofen regularly, and don't use it as much...seeing as i play the violin pretty seriously, wasn' an option for my wrist...so i simply ignore d the pain, i find that things heal faster if you're using them anyway

LET INJURIES HEAL.

if you don't you run the risk of making them worse/permanent.

end of story.
