For the last year ive been learning all i could about bodybuilding.. and even practicing a little.
As im now, thanks to bocking, trying to lose weight i though id rather wasted my time.

Then i thought of something id learned about a supplement called Creatine. Its taken by alot of sports people and weight lifters. It increases the substence in your muscles that is used up when they contract.  It improves performance in explosive muscle contractions. And then i thought what could be more explosive than throwing yourself 6feet in the air.  Its legal, easy to find and pretty cheap if you buy it in a simple powder form.  Its also pretty heavily tested and it seems totally safe. (few people fell a bit ill or dehydrated as it draws more fluid into the muscles, so drink more).

Anyone who is already jumping as high as they can and feels there technique and springs have no more to offer may find that taking this supplement gives them a little extra power.

My understanding was that Creatine is a hardcore product and you do need to working your nutts out to benefit, this isn't a "casual-gym" like product.

If you're pumping it then best of luck to you. I use some US protein shake occaisionally which does the job for the level I work at which isnt hardcore at all.
I'd love to be of coruse but its about getting off my arse and down to the gym. Its about establishing a routine with me!

I wasnt suggesting it was magic. Smiley

I know supplements dont do a whole lot if the rest of your training and diet suck.  Ive not read that book. Mostly internet stuff (with a rather large pinch of salt) and Brawn by Stuart McRobert.  Pretty good. more a textbook than anything. Worth a look anyway.  Oh yeah and a few Flex magazines when fancy a laugh.

But if someone was already practicing hard and was already able to push off the ground with every ounce of strength they had (i bottle out too quick for that) then it may have some benifit.  From what i know of it creatine is more about power than strength.  I prefer really slow rep cadence and didnt notice a whole lot of difference.  So dont really use anything bar protein shakes.
