Okay, here's how it goes.

About a month or so ago, I bought a pair of M90 Powerizers. I had them, and they were working fine for the first 3 days, then, when landing a big jump, the left spring made a cracking sound and immediately went down more than 50% more than the other. After close examination, I found that there was a piece of the spring that had peeled.

So now, I told my supplier (Bossbi.com) and he said he would work on getting me a new pair of Rizers or springs. IT TOK A MONTH!!! But I eventually got a new pair of RiZers in the mail, was told to repackage my old ones and send them back.

I decided to test out my new Rizers, and after about 10 minutes, the right spring SNAPS in half. So, I decide to keep the left new one which was still good, and the old right one which was still good. And for one day, they felt fine.

Today, however, it has become EXTREMELY obvious that the new left one is bending WAY more and tends to make a slight creaking noise, which I might think is the bushing but still.....

What I want to do is send Bob from PoweriZerUSA an email or call him saying "Okay, I have had two pairs of bad Rizers now, and I do NOT want to wait for another pair to come in the mail, so in the package with my old rizers I  am supposed to send to you I am putting ALL 4 springs to be sent back to you. Since I am doing this, all I want you to send me is a pair of M100 springs. NOT M90's! And I would very much appreciate if you would take the time to examine them closely to make sure that they are NOT defective in ANY way. Thank you."

So....what are all of your opinions on this matter?

with the spring covered at factory, its unlikely that the defect could be seen.  i weigh over 30 lbs less than you and i broke a 110 in just a few minutes also.  i think just a wee bit of quality control would fix this problem, i asked the manufacturer about quality control and i got no reply.    when mine broke,  bob told me it was the second time he'd ever heard of one breaking like that.  i've heard of more than a couple myself since mine.  both sets of springs i'd had previously were korean 5070s and 7090s, both of which performed great.  i often bottomed out both of those sets and i'd expect the chinese springs to completely compress without breakage like that.  when mine broke i was only jumping @ 2' in my driveway just getting a feel for them.  i'm beginning to think either the chinese springs are getting worse or they were always lower qualitythan the competetors.   i haven't had any problems yet with my replacement set but i'm still afraid i will and am slowly building confidence to jump higher and run faster on them.  it's just rediculous that with such potentially severe injurys and lawsuit from a defective spring that anything but a crystal clear spring ever be put on a pair of stilts or shipped as replacements in the first place.

I've just replaced my broken M80 springs with M90. They seem OK at the moment but I think your right about quality control.

Has anybody else had any problems with cracking or broken springs on here?

There are three people on here already reporting problems with the Chinese springs I think its going to be interseting to see if this is just isolated. Huh

Azaelius, if your luck does get any worse I think you should be asking for your money back!!

I really don't want to. I've been saving up to buy Rizers for a LONG time, and now that I have them, I'd hate to NOT have them. I'll work as long as I have to to get a good pair of springs.

I contacted 7meilenstiefel about ordering springs... Sadly you can't buy them on their own, you have to buy the whole 2 stilts Sad

Are they selling them then to the UK?  I've been on their website and there is no where there for purchasing instruction.
