right, so pulled out of thin air then. all our springs have holes drilled in them, sometimes they fail there, sometimes they don't who knows, and the springs share a vertical fault line not a horizontal one, so your math would be off, not that the numbers really came from anywhere.  my nerd bus is a monster truck so it tends to run over other nerd busses  Grin

take it easy XS - I am aware that all springs are drilled and that the fault lines are vertical... i think the product is very good - I have not just plucked the numbers out of thin air - I work with fibre glass rods a fair amount, and just applied some careful thought... Im not here to upset anyone.... But it is a basic fact - if you drill a hole in something it becomes weaker...

oh i agree with that, just confused how you decided that a screw is 7.5% the width and such.  Its definitely something that needs to be watched.
