It's 2 mins driving, little more walking but very easily do-able.
There is also a mcdonalds there and a castle bingo. Shall we? Tongue

Pub spar and chippy within easy walking distance.

The only thing i'm not sure of is public transport to the bay. I think it would be 2 bus trips but I'll look into that.

Well to be honest you can get the bus to Central and it's then not very far to walk to get to the bay. The bus from central to the bay is like 4 minutes, so what... 10 mins walk?

There is the Bay circle that does like an entire Loop of the whole of Cardiff but takes about 2 hours to get round Undecided

Or we could all jog there from the campsite as a gentle warmup before the day's bocking? Smiley

I've just found an easy bus too. 15 mins to central station and then as sprog says its either a 4 min trip or a 10-15min walk to the bay.

I'm kinda hoping most will have their own transport to the bay....I'm just not sure how many cars that will total and where they are all going to park Smiley

Isn't there a "Cardif Bay Rail" station? Or is it one of those infrequent ones?

There is a station, but its the end of the line and only really serves as a shuttle between Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Central station.

To be honest I think if you only can come 1 day, it depends what you are coming for to be able to suggest which day is best.

I think Saturday a lot of people will be chatting and will only start challenging themselves on bocks towards the end of the day.

Sunday will be more people I think as some will arrive quite late on saturday, though most are coming down fri night so who knows.
Sunday will then see the same people on the same challenges because they will want to beat their best so far.

I think coming 1 day you'll experience CB fine but wont be enough time to actually get down to business and discover something new for your bocking skills.

I'd say play both days full tilt then they;re both awesome for yourself.

Re: Transport there. Minibusses will be of advantage of course, and greener. Otherwise busses should be encouraged. Hmmm, 75 odd on busses, have to do installments! Ha ha

Or a walking bus like schools have, hi-vis jackets ya'll!
