I haven't heard anything about CB2009 lately, I spoke to Sprog a few weeks ago and he said there were no firm plans as of yet.

I guess planning anything in early-July for August might be pushing it a bit, but I was wondering if we could get something going, even if it's a single-day event.

Cardiff remains a possibility, but I feel London is too far and too expensive for lots of us (especially accomodation and train fare), so I'd like to propose somewhere cheap and central: Birmingham.

My uni has a nice and well-equipped outdoor sports area with full-size track and the rest; we've been offered use of one of the indoor gyms for Team Sky High's sessions in the past (but declined for various reasons) and the uni has its own train station (fare is

I believe things are already in progress with it in London.

Cardiff is not a possibility lol.
Birmingham was discussed before and everywhere seemed to be off limits. Birmingham was originally my favourite.

think it's being done as 22 of august-ish as a 1 day thing in london, but think sprog mentioned a gym day would be nice

but don't quote me on anything, not even sure who's doing the organising anymore

birmingham sounds like a good idea, its in the middle of the UK which will make it easier for people to get there, we should definatly make it for a couple of days, i can help any way i can.

No reason not to go to both.  Sprog and Muncher are working on setting something up in London in august so set something up for ~October in Birmingham.  No reason to only have one big meet a year.

In the massive 20 page thread full of people arguing over where and when it would be, until Muncher and I said "f*** it, it'll be in London on this weekend". However, we haven't progressed massively further than this due to the fact we've both been swamped under with uni/college work!

yeah i read taht but as it didnt develop by someone taking it up i guessed it wasnt happening!

That's an international thing though, and not everyone has the budget for overseas travel, like poor starving students like myself.
