As well as the club shows, I like the idea of picking random people to make up teams that then have say half an hour to make up and perform synchro pieces that encompasses everyones ability. That way even if you are without a group you get to take part.

Good idea ET   As long as the groups really have to include everyone (as much as that person wants of course), don't want someone forced to just bounce in the background because a couple of people in their group can do flips

For the first few hours at this years event I might just set up camp on a bench and offer stilt repairs and MOT's.
Emergencies will be free of course (like ET and Q's emergencies last year), trivial matters might not be, haven't decided yet

And I like that idea ET, would be good to get a nice mix of abilities in each team

Thats kinda my only concern too.
We now have a fair number of clubs, and a whole host of people who know each other fairly well. We need to be very careful that any newbie bockers and indeed, people who have never been to any sort of meet before, are not only made to feel left out but actualy feel very welcome (by force if required!) to join in with sundays events.

I'm also not sure what to do for bockers who might simply decide not to take part in any of the events on sunday because they just might not want to. Sure they can just bock as per saturday but its a bit of a 'go do what you like' which isnt great :/

for those who dont wish to compete  locky  maybe  teaching sessions especially the real noobs. Will your crash matt be there? could have a suession of 1/2 or 1 hour  try and have a go at flips sessions.   Well 1 starting idea. I assume youve got the insurance &  harbour peeps on side now

But really  Id say  get a structure, then fill in worrying details to a great extent.

Now there is the idea of clubs 'doin stuff' Gotta get some confirmation well atleast 3 clubs to say that yes deffo they will work on it ( the rest will follow). So will this be a 'show/revue' or lil interludes throughout the afternoon?

Indeed no reason why both ideas cant be worked on  and what looks like being the best will probably just 'shout out' a little way down the road.

Also re talking part in sports.   Start listing possible events? Then see what propoertion start embrassing  and who says 'erm soz  not 4 me' --that they may  prefer to PM Locky

Also  some events people think of may need 'props'   and lists could be started  and peeps can say  'yeah I can supply X'

My view on group synchro event is that its not really a competition but but about making sure that everyone gets included. The aim being that a group is made up of all levels of ability and the synchro piece is devised such as that everyone in the group is able to perform it. Its more about being able to bock in unison than being able to flip. Those kinds of tricks can be shown of in regional groups shows. and inter groups shows if there are peeps that feel like doing that. It would be down to the peeps with the most ability to show the noobs the moves and help them get the timing. It would be good if the was an event that everyone took part in....there doesn't necessarily need to be a winner.

you could make syncro a comp. But would be horrifically differcult to mark. Say take 4 bockers, they chose a routine that would get a 'factor of difficulty' depending on the complexity. The routine should last ooo 3 min. Marks are for length of time kept in syncro + the  F of D. So just jumping up and down all togther for 3 min  240 points,  break down at 2 min160 points. If you syncro some star and pike jumps in more points  syncro flips  lots more.

But working out a tariff, by august   --nah.


On subject of non competative  non winning/loosing events. Is it possible  while compete as teams ---no overall talley is kept.

I hope an event involving kanga hopping and buckets of water can be devised .
