The intention was to always keep it moving venues, whilst there will be another CB in London in the future, there will be other capitals involved.

Lets go crazy here for a second and be completely optimistic.
Last year you guys had about 8 bockers. How many do you think is possible this year?

well seeing as you guys had 69 last year and are expecting 200, approximately a 270% increas
last year i think we had 7 so given the same 270% increase that'll give us 20, which sounds like a good goal to me,
last year my goal was 10, so i'll double my goal to 20 for this year.

My personal thought is that we should keep it in D.C.  for a couple of reasons.

1. Historic Icons
2. more or less "central" to the U.S. guys
3. it's mostly uncharted bocking territory, everyone can find something they like.
4. People's reactions (always priceless-but not always quite as positive as that weekend)
5. We only finished half of our previous route in '07- lots more to see!
6. The lodging choice was perfect
7. That little town was awesome for night bocking.

I'm open to any other capitol, I'm just casting my vote.

And now for something completely different....

k well it looks like the preference is DC again, works for me.

how about date choices, we've had one vote for not the 2/3, so we'll throw that out, what do people think about 9/10, or 23/24?

I like 23/24 better, as I'll be done with summer work by then so i won't have to worry about taking a monday and/or friday off depending on what we want to do for travel.

Personally, I think I'd rather leave Capital bocking at the capital (DC and London), and bock the state capitals during the rest of the year.  Something about having a regular event at a regular place is attractive to me.  I may be alone in this feeling, however.

I think that too, and if more countries join CB then how do we sort different days out !?
I can see why setting in different place sound nice ( sharing it out ) but there's nothing stopping a meet in these places at a different time ? Build up the day each year in one place  and add more place each year has more people join in !?
The more bockers we have joining in around the world on one day the better ! Turning CB in a GLOBAL MEET or GB Smiley

As soon as we get a permanent thaw up here, I'll be ordering my bocks, and I might be interested in doing this. Thing is I would not like flying out there, so at best, I would be driving out there. Not fun. Maybe a group transport would be best? Charter a Van or something. Start from the west coast and go x-country. Split the cost of travel.

Its expensive as I don't live near any larger airport hubs. Its 350+ to fly out from Sioux Falls, 300 + Gas to drive to hubs. Loose/Loose with flying.

But weighing my options I could take a train and drive to Minneapolis, for $100 less.  \

But I think we could get more people to go if we could mitigate the cost down to something more reasonable per person. And a group road trip might be fun.

idk if there are enough people out that way to have such a trip work, but if you want to try go for it, more people at CB is always good

XS,

I am all for keeping it in Washington!

An international event might be interesting and that could switch location.

If we can settle on a date soon, I will work to get the attendance up.

Should help if I can get a big list of professionals there.

BTW: I met with Stuntman over the weekend and he said you were doing front flips.

Congratulations!!!
