thats why you have 2 one in london and one in scotland so it gives you a bigger chioce, not just that the bockers in the north of england can attend because most of them in the north stayed home because of the journey

If you want to organise one for Edinburgh, feel free. I cant organise both. It has to be Edinburgh only though if it's to be a capital bocking event.

I agree ET Cardiff is exelent for bocking and there are pretty much easy train routes for people but its not my desicion

ok guys I agree Cardiff would be an excellent venue and not only because I live there. The ONE thing we lacked in London was a wide variety of bocking places and Cardiff Bay has all of that in one single spot whether you are a first timer, or into the technical tricks, flips or like me doing steps, vaults and boulders.

Cardiff is also very good for transport on trains, buses and the airport and also on the road. I can however understand how some people up north might feel left out as 2 years running it would be in locations in the southern end of the country but bare in mind on several occasions I've jumped in the car and driven 4 hours to bradford then bocked for 3 hours and then driven back 4 hours to cardiff. There is a whole year to organise this well in advanced and as we've seen this year, regular meets are now happening almost every week all over the country. This particular thread is about capital bocking 2008 but there is no reason why some other big meets could happen all over the uk but I still think capital bocking will be the grandaddy of them all.

(ps I still think having it as a weekend event in cardiff is a great idea, have everyone stay over and a big BBQ etc would be 48 hours of mentalness.)

that sounds like a great idea, but i would fly from newcastle to bristol because you cant get flights to cardiff then get another plane from bristol to cardiff or just get the train

Great minds...I have just been speaking to Ash about it and thought it would be better as a saturday and sunday event. There are cheap enough hotels in cardiff or people could camp if they like. I think the biggest problem at the moment with having a northern big meet is that the majority of bockers are from the south and middle of the country. I agree though that this shouldn't stop the north from organising some large events

I think people should calm down a bit regarding this event. Sure the date and city has been set which will help people with long term plans etc but its a whole year away and the sport is going to evolve SO SO MUCH between now and then so just wait and see how things go.
