Hello. Since I'm really new to bocking (I haven't got any bocks yet) could you please tell me which of those features are better and why?

eg the cuff is better than the knee bar because it holds your leg firmly in place

i prefer cuffs to knee bars, metal ratchets are obviously better than plastic, bearings better than bushings, pivoting foot plate is personal preference, at the moment i trust fiberglass more than carbon fiber.

Ok. Thanks for your answer. Why do you trust fiberglass more than carbon fibre?

because the carbon fiber had a very high number of breaks a few months ago, I think they've fixed the problem, but that has yet to be seen as we don't have that many members that have the new carbon fiber springs yet.

X, Very good reasearch and will be very helpful to new bockers. You have left out an important feature, is it easy to add a line? You need to say, does the spring have adequate protection out of the box, as this will be important for those bockers who don't want to wrap loads of tape around there springs. Plus as we all know if the spring gets damaged or nicked through the thin layer coverings you may as well order new springs..  Wink

Thinking about getting some redoxx, powerizer elites, or whatever they are called. Just noticed that they have no bushings or bearings. Wouldn't this result in them wearing out very fast?

Where are you from?
If your in the UK you might as well forgot about the Projump Elites as they are yet to be released and probably won't be for a couple
more months at least.

As far as wearing down quicker due to not having bushings i wouldn't know, there are a few members on the forum with this stilts and they are yet to have a problem with that, however you may be interested in this thread:

they have something, but i'm really not sure what it is i haven't had a pair to take apart.  If you've looked at the pics of their joints they're completely different than any other stilt so the traditional bushing/bearing idea doesn't fit in them
