Oooh Becky, that must have been terrifying for you! I've just seen what happened before and it must have taken so much guts to even think about doing it again. Congratulations!

Eddie Langston: If everything seems credible then nothing seems credible. You know, TV puts everybody in those boxes, side-by-side. On one side, there's this certifiable lunatic who says the Holocaust never happened. And next to him is this noted, honored historian who knows all about the Holocaust. And now, there they sit, side-by-side, they look like equals! Everything they say seems to be credible. And so, as it goes on, nothing seems credible anymore! That chicks got BALLS

LOL

You go gurl.

Now you just got to work your arms better.  You need them up higher as you come out of compressing the springs in prep to take off for the flip.  If you look at your bounce you have an arm circle. When you compress the springs you'll notice your arms are moving downward to assist in creating downward forces to better compress the springs.  Bottom of your arm circle is around your hips from what I see in this vid.  Then as you take off your lifting your arms upward to aid in the take off.  Thats good. Sometimes this circle is a little aqward and that wil slow your flip progress. keep this circle round and dont let it get flappy up and down.  With a good round circle you got two options on the take off for the flip.

One way to do this is to do this arm circle but smaller and higher on your flip's take off bounce.  In your take off arm Circle make it to where your fist travel thru the bottom of this circle at about shoulder to cheek high (the cute cheeks on your face not the cute ones on your back side). This means your arms will be coming up out of the bottom of the circle with your fist  at a higher point.  Then they can get extended upward more before you slam them downard to aid in creating flip.

Another option is on the next to last bounce, as your arms cirlce upward.. leave them up. Then with no circle on the flips take off bounce reach on up some more before slamming them down to aid the flip action.

I say slamming cause I like to teach front flippers to think of the take off for the flip like a two handed slam dunk in basketball.  Right now your slam dunking into baskets somewhere between belly button and chest high.  You need to be slam dunking a basket just above nose high.

Woo! I didn't realize it'd been so long, but man, you took back to it like a pro.

I haven't seen anyone actaully start by rolling onto the mat, good idea!

Keep it up, looks great!

thats a good head game; psychy drill.  Helps get over the fear. great coaching tip by who ever that was that suggested it to her.

Otherwise... its not a great drill to continue with cause it encourages improper take off technique.  Stacking mats or better yet setting up a tall down hill mat and doing that drill works good though.

nice vid, I like the dramatization in the story telling.

I can fell with you I was very nervous also when I made my first flips. I had not broken my bone before though so it must have been even worse in your case.

see you in Mallorca
