If what some people said is true then the powerisers I bought off of www.coolthingstoride.com are 06 models. First could someone clarify if it is true and tell me because I dont know if they are. If they are 06 models what do I need to buy or replace so that it is up to the same standards as the 08 models and i need to know where to get the parts. By the way I have the Poweriser Classics 5070.

It would be pretty cool if someone could help me out with this issue.

Thanks

um if you wanted the new model you should have just bought the poweriser Advanced which is another name for the new model, you have the old model, really upgrading isn't worth it cause they jack up the price of the parts if you buy them seperately

You don't need to upgrade.  You won't be able to jump any higher. Main difference is the calf cuff instead of the knee loop and the higher grade (stronger) foot bindings.  Visit xphub.com to check the prices on those parts if interested.

Will there need to be anything that will wear out fast or that will deform something like the bearings in the 07. Or is it going to be fine for awhile and maybe till i need to buy another pair in like 2 year maybe.

No way of telling because everyone is different.  I've had my originals for 3 years with no problems.  They are fine as a first pair.

Arent the cuff's about $150? and the hoofs $30ish?  They also have nice bindings on the advanced $70ish.  So to make an advanced pair out of your classics add that up.  I don't know how the bindings are on the classics I'm sure they're decent.

Advanced are what $200 more than classic?  Cuff's would be the best buy for the money.  Your in good shape for now.

Hi tgs,
like I told you in the chat: go at least for the new bearings, that would be delivered with the shock protection plate (black part) which is very important! If the old 06 Type is delivered without any transformations, then they wouldn't get a shock protection part what is very bad for the spring. The old bearings wouldn't breack, but without shock protection plate your springs would sufer about for shure.

So the most important thing for you would be to change these bearings which wouldn't cost to much as well. Further more I real would consider to change the bindings as well, seen the ones on the 06 type are real not good in my opinion. This is by the way, why we sold our last 06 types with the new bindings.

The calf cuffs would be a nice addon, but first of all, they're the most expensive part and second it would be as well possible to bounce with the old¨kneeholder without any troubles. The new bindings will give you a better hold, the bearings will go much more smoother and the shock plate protects your spring. Therefor I consider this as the most important and main things to do for you. Best for you would have been, to buy the advanced how they're called at yours directly. But this changements wouldn't cost u a fortune so there is no reason to be disapointed.Imagine you would have bought a Skyrunner.... there you would had real reasons, to be pissed of, but the way you did, you still can upgrade slowly.
So just have a try if you get your bouncers and you will see, what I wrote about the bindings. Go to order then the bearing set and if you would feel the need new bindings as well and you will be happy with your stilts.

Have fun, jump high, says Dome

P.s.
The latest edition of this black protection parts looks different now, seen there has been made one more time more improvements on them. Now they're not only an important and usefull part, but damned well made.

I agree they're important, but after snapping 3 of them i question the claim that they're well made

Yesterday I sent the place I bought my powerisers from it said.

I just bought some powerisers and ive heard that there is a problem with the bearings and that there is no shock plate part on the poweriser 06 models. I would like to know if the model you shipped me is an 06 model or 08 model. If it is an 06 model, is there a way you could send me the parts that would be best for me to that arent on the 06 models that are on the 08 models like better bearings, shock plate, and bindings.

They replied today and it said.

Im told that everything we send out now has been updated to fit the latest standards.
Thanks
Taylor

I dont know what this means. But how much would the bearings cost and could you show me exact page were I could buy them at? One last thing would I be ok getting my bocks jumping on them and doing stuff, figuring alittle about them and where the pieces would go, nd then buy then and get them alittle bit later while still jumping?

Here's how you can tell.  Take a look at this thread.  Top photo is old-style bushings, bottom photo is new-style bushings.  Compare it to what you have.

http://www.PoweriserPages.com/forum/empty-t3148.0.html

FYI
PoweriSers use bushings, not bearings.  A bushing is sleeve-like.  Bearings have little balls or rolling pins.

You can replace old bushings with new ones later on if you like.  For now, just relax and enjoy the Art of Bocking.

You're right as well XS,
the first edition of this parts seems to be not to well made, but like I wrote they have been changed meanwhile and the new ones looks great. The form of them is now real at the possible optimum for the function of use, so I hope they would last longer.

And TSG, there is nothing wrong with the old bushings, apart that they're not real good. The only moint about is the missing shock protection if they're at their original state. if you get (following your dealer) updated stilts with new bearing and shock protection, you don't have to be worry about nothing, you made a quiet good buy. If they're even upgraded with bindings and bushings, there would be no real need to upgrade now.

And sorry if I wrote about bearings instead of bushings, this is due to the fact, that english isn't my major language. So thanks for this little english lesson Bill. ;-)
