I have sifted through the knowledge pages and such and noticed no mention of air runners http://www.thebockshop.com.au/  They look quite different and boast a CF spring.  The cuff looks cool too, and it looks like it could be lighter than most brands.  I do understand that appearances aren't everything though.  I wanted to know if anyone else had any insight on the quality of these stilts?

AirRunners is a brand name for the PoweriZers UpWings model.  Word is that model has had problems and I, personally, would stay away from it for now.  They are not widely available and spare parts may be even more difficult to obtain.  Their parts are not interchangeable with other jumping stilt models - so you will not be able to use another brand of springs should you wish to upgrade.

They are nice and light, particularly around the hoof where weight counts the most, and believe it or not, they haven't collapsed under anyone as far as we know.  But  the cuffs are uncomfortable and unstable, and not totally failing does not mean that they are of good construction.  Jollyjumper has put out a few pictures of prototypes for an Up-Wing remake with either normal kneebars or Poweriser-style cuffs, better foot bindings, and a bike-style quick release on the knee bindings, but don't expect that to come out any time soon.

i know of at least one failure, basically there are a few places, austraila, germany, canada that you can get these things, but there is a reason that most of the dealers don't sell them yet, they're not ready for market, still in testing.  I tried a prototype out in october and they felt lighter, but the cuff was uncomfortable, their balence point is different, and they put weird pressure on my knees to bow outward.  Overall i don't like them as they're currently sold, they're have been pics recently of a redesign which looks promising, but who knows until some bockers get their hands on them.

With no previous bocking experiance Vladislav is able to rock the socks with the Upwings, although he has acrobatic experiance, I'm sure he'd do well with any brand.

I've tried em as well,  they were painful.  Maybe they need some tweaking, maybe some Vlad. I remember they were very solid, even more solid than Henry's Velocity stilts. Henry's stilts did a lap around NYC and have been through his training regiment many times, before I gave em a whirl, the Upwings were safely tucked away in a case.

Problem is, his Air Runners (Upwings) broke and he's now getting a standard model as a replacement.

I don't like the look of these one's. Like most people have said, they look very fragile and unstable. I have a friend back awhile ago and he had a pair of air runners. He'd been on them for 2-3 hours and they'd already broke. From the on he has never used air runners and gone back to the original bocks. When i was going to purchase some bocks, he advised me not to buy these!
