It should have been checked before your brought them, but it looks like a bolt was not tighten and worked loose.
A good reason that we should all check ours stilts before going out on them.
But for a new pair and for someones first pair thats bad

Not really sure of the implications of the loose bit in the vid, but i am sure someone will explain?

Expanding upon what DK has just said, what exactly should we newbies be checking.
Which areas require maintenance?
Are any parts user adjustable?

I guess it may become clearer to me tomorrow, when mine (hopefully) arrive.

There's meant to be 2 bolts, he only has one so it can move a little, that's the only thing wrong. However, a moving hoof is a bit dogey as when landing it will move and have greater impact on the lower area of the spring, which may damage it.

Essentially check all the nuts and bolts are tight,
You can lubricate the moving parts with WD-40 or copper grease or silicon spray (powerskip actually recommend vaseline )
The only areas that are really user adjustable are the kneebars/calf cuffs and bindings, the height of the kneebar is adjusted to just below your knee, and the bindings have different holes so you can make them tighter or looser is the default setting isn't right for you.

The black hoof looks fastened to the metal leg.
the bolt that is missing, does that go through the spring, and into the other side of the leg??

Can it simply be replaced, or will it have snapped off in the spring?

It goes through the spring and is bolted to the underside of it, so it has simply come out. All they need is a new bolt and nut, and they can replace it by removing the hoof (requires undoing 2 bolts, one of the easiest jobs on bocks) to get to the underside of the spring to put it all into place.

That happened to my stilts when i first got them, only it was the other bolt. The nut was moving around inside the foot for a long time. I didn't want to fix it in case of a possible accident. My spring turned out to be fine, but the metal that it was bolted to was bent up.
If you lose the bolt and such, you can get pieces at a hardware store or call the company and they might send them to you for free.
That other bolt is obviously not tight enough. Both bolts have to be really cranked down. The lock washer is there to stop the spring from getting damaged from the tightening.

I think this just shows how important it is to give new stilts a thorough inspection when you get them and ensure all nuts and bolts are nice and tight.
It's also good practice to check them I'd say at least once a month, but depends how much you use them.

That video is mine and I can explain everything here:
Lior my friend just got his 7's in that day after long time of waiting.
We were bocking that day for 1 hour and than I saw that one screw is not there and the other one was released so we stoped bocking immediately.
When I took them home to check them out I understood what happened:
In this places the screws MUST have ring of metal "retractable" like poweriZer and all the other companies have, this is the reason of the being released nut (7 leagues don't have this, they have a regular ring of metal there).
They must fix that in the factory and start putting the retractable ones.

So it doesn't matter how hard you will tighten the screw there, it will open after a while and we saw that in other videos here and we can read that it has happened here to some people.
You can buy this rings everywhere, this is super important to replace them.

yeah lock washers are necessary there.  on the pair of 7's springs i just recieved only 3 of the 4 bolts had lock washers on them, i found it kind of odd.

In this pair all the 8 screws that holds the springs (up & down) were with a regular ring of metal so I replaced them all!
I can't understand why this quality stilts have this problem.. Like you said.. odd..

They are very good quality stilts, strong and very thick aluminum (4.04 kg!!!), very good material but heavy.
Very large kneebar I would say too much large,
When Lior bocked on them the left kneebar twist badly and it made the stilt to become bent and we have problems with that, I'm trying to resolve this problem I have an idea that I need to implement.
Like you see we don't have so much easy life with them but I will fix them.
