so it seems that they still haven't gotten it right with the 07's.  that plastic piece in question should not only be cut to fit, it really should be aluminum as well.  i think i will have my machine shop guy have a look at it.

I got the bottom hinge to be solid with a combination of an aluminum housing that spans the gap and an extra washer.  They still wobble.  It's coming from the very top hinge now.

so after I fix that one... what's next? Under the foot plate?

dane told me "we" have a set of washers "on the way from factory" to serve as a  temporary fix until the correct size spacer is made.  no telling how long it will take them to get to this side of the pond but if someone gets theirs will you post here so i will know to look for mine.  (i get email notification of this thread)

more washers cannot fix this problem.

a spacer inside the frame is the only real solution, dominion and i found that 1/2 copper pipe fits very sung around the bearing assembly.  However if your stilts are already bent.  I don't think this will help, just stop further bending.  This spacer needs to be installed before bending starts.

and that works ok with the plastic spring guard also in place?  i'll pick up a piece of the 1/2" pipe today and see how it works out for me.

thx!  Smiley

it won't fit in the plastic spacer, i'll have to be modified, haven't figured that one out yet, we just put in 2 pieces of aluminum sheet metal, and they seem to have done the job for 1 day, but that's definitely  not a permanent solution.  Once i have a fully working new set I'll install the copper spacers on mine and work out a new protective plate for the spring, but as of now i have one new working stilt and one new broken stilts, still waiting word from xphub on what they're gonna do about it.
